Budgeting for Couples

About Budgeting for Couples

Budgeting for Couples is an independent personal finance resource built specifically for people navigating money as a team. Most financial advice is written for individuals — we write for the two of you.

Why We Built This

Managing money with a partner is fundamentally different from managing it solo. You are balancing two incomes (or one), two spending styles, two sets of goals, and often very different histories with money. Generic budgeting advice rarely accounts for any of that.

We started Budgeting for Couples to fill that gap: practical, honest guides on combining finances, splitting bills fairly, building emergency funds together, and having the money conversations that matter.

Who We Are

Our team includes personal finance writers, certified financial planners, and couples who have navigated the same challenges our readers face — debt payoff, buying a first home, planning for children, and everything in between. We write from experience, not theory.

Our Editorial Standards

Every guide we publish is researched, fact-checked, and written to be genuinely useful — not to rank for keywords or sell you something. When we recommend financial products or tools, it is because they are the best option for couples at that stage of their financial journey.

We participate in affiliate programmes and may earn a commission on some recommendations. This never influences what we recommend. See our affiliate disclosure for full details.
